The Races Started Out With A Few Gliches With The Transponders Which Lasted All Through Practice. It Seemed To Take Forever. Remember We Are Using A New System & Format So We Have To Work Out The Bugs. Scotty Who Does The Staging Was Driving The Water Truck. I Saw Brandon Hiner One Of The Owners Later In The Evening In The Watertruck, So I Don't Know Who Was Resposible For The Watering, But Yes It Was Very Dusty. Our Corner Was Terrible & From What I Could See It Was Heading Towards The Spectators. It Was A Little Warm During The Day I Heard It Was Supposed To Be 97. The Very First Thing In Practice, Austin Reed Endowed His Trophy Kart Elite Two Times On The Back Whoops By Us. When We Got To Him He Was Complaining About His Toe. I Guess During The Flips His Foot Got Caught Between The Brake & Gas Pedal. They Towed Him Back To His Pits & I Guess He Was Okay Becuase He Won His Main Event. The Practice May Have Taken Longer Than It Should. ( The Race Was Supposed To Start @ 7:00 P.M. But Didn't Start Until 9:15 P.M. ) This Part Wasn't Good But, If You Stayed Around For The Racing It Was Really Some Of The Best Yet. The First Race Was The Trophy Kart Elites. The Corner On The Back Of The Modified Course Was A Little Dark, So We Parked Our Rhino By The Track With Our Lights On. Every One Made It Through Fine. Sheldon Creed Won Followed By Blake Lenk & Connor Hart. In The SXS Doubles Todd Cunningham Won Again With Jeff "Chicken" Matiasevich & Garret Gustason Battling The Entire Race With Matiasevich Finishing Second. The Superkarts Ran With The Doubles. It Looked Like If They Had Gone A Few More Laps Darin Saunders In The Honda Pilot Might Have Caught Todd. He Was Way Fast. The Second Place Car Was Ken Keegal. The Revolts Were Not Here For This Race. The Trophykarts 8-12 Was Next. Hunter Stewart Won With Sheldon Creed & Zachery Hunt Behind Him, There Were 24 Cars In This Race. The SXS Mod Amatuer Class Was Exciting. With Doug Mittag Winning Followed By Chris Lanning & Jeff Matiasevich. The Trophy Kart 13-16 Started Out With I Think Garret Gustason Rolling In Front Of Jenne & I In The Dark Corner. (This Time I Didn't Have Our Rhino Lights On.) I Asked The Kid If He Was Allright & This Deep Scary Voice Said Yes, Turn Me Over. It Was Hard But The Old Man Finally Got Him Righted & He Finished The Race. This Is The Main Event That Austin Reed Won. Then It Was Bryan Osborn & Brandon Arthur. The SXS Superstock Race Was Exciting. They Ran The Same Course As The Trophy Karts Except They Came Out On The Front Straightaway. I Always Keep An Eye Out For Code Rahders Because I Consider He & His Family Friends. He Got Up To Third But Fell Back To 4th. 2 Of The Cars That Beat Him Sure Look Like Mods. I Guess They Don't Have Long Travel. The Winner Was James Hill Then Trevor Maxwell & John Pacheco. The Most Exciting Race Where We Were Was The Full Potential Superlites. I Know There Are Only Four Cars, But This Time They Were Really Tight. Chad Leising Pulled Out Into The Lead With His 5 HIDs Burning Brightly & Never Looked Back. The Battle For Second Was The Best I Have Seen. Brian Boudreau & Brian Thomason Kept Passing Each Other In The Back Corner By Us. It Was Back & Forth Until The Last Lap With Brain Bordeau Finishing Second. These Guys When They Came Off The Back Tabletop Were Lifting Their Front Ends Way Up In The Air. It Was Very Exciting. The 1400-1450 Trucks Were Next. I Really Enjoy These Desert Trucks On A Closed Course Like This. The
V8 Truck Of Jeff Musgrave Went Off & Left The Rest Of The Pack Looking Like He Was On A Sunday Cruise. The Rest Of The Guys Put On A Great Show Passing In The Corners & Bouncing Off Of Each Other. It Was Exciting. The Winner Was Craig Jones Then Brian Cannon & Alan Ryan. The Main Event For The Night Was The SXS Mod Pros. They Put On A Great Show But , The Excitment Was From Third Back. Because Todd "King" Arthur & Andy "Regis" Harrington Took First & Second On The First Lap & Never Looked Back. Ron Attig & Joe Clark Were 3rd & 4th. Kyle Leduc Put On A Clinic Coming From The Back Of The Pack To Finish 8th. He Just Needed More Laps. Todd Cunningham Was 4th Until He Had A Problem With The K-Rail. Corry Weller Wasn't Here, We Missed You Corry. After All Of The Technical Issues In The Beginning Were Worked Out, I Think These Were The Best Races Yet. The Dust Was Way Better After Dark & The Cars Look Awesome In The Lights. I Think Ken & Travis You Guys Did A Great Job Again, Thanks & Look Forward To Round Six July 12th. See You Then. I Was Sick With The Stomach Flu Or Something.
