Whiplash Firebird Race

Here's the results for the race at Firebird this weekend as well as some links to pics. It was a great weekend of racing. Congrats to the winners. Shawn took first in Pro Mod. He took the holeshot and I was on him pretty good until the second lap when I broke and axle. On the third lap the other rear axle went. It actually drove a little better at that point. With front wheel drive and no rear brakes I managed to hold on to 3rd. There was lots of carnage this weekend. Plenty of racers rolled their rides. If anyone has pics please post them up. If you want to thank your sponsors you can do that here too. Met some new friends this weekend as always and had a blast.

I would like to thank Court at UTV Powersports. He has stayed late, came over to my house and helped me tremendously getting the Rhino back together for this race. It ran awesome.

Also like to thank Kelly at PDM. The new clutch ran flawlessly. That thing rips Kelly. Thanks

Lone Star Racing - Greg came out this weekend and the suspension was working awesome. The jumps were flat and soaking it up. I just don't think the brodies and drag racing on black top was the best thing for the axles. It was the only place to do any tuning out there. I was hitting the back straight into the woops doing 60mph and the suspension soaked it up.

A & M Powder coating showed up to support as well. Thanks guys

And not to be forgotten. All the people in my pit crew. My wife for letting me do this. Thanks guys.

Brad didn't co-drive with me this race he got in on the action. I heard he was flying and got several compliments on his driving skills and speed out there. I think I need to keep him out of the drivers seat or he won't be my co-driver much longer.

Also got to hang out with Brian this weekend and he also got a 3rd in the Sport Mod class.

Sorry Whiplash, The scoring left a lot to be desired this weekend. You missed a whole minute on Brads first lap as well as some malfuntions in the qualifying. Sorry, I didn't get the stock class times. I thought I had them. Carl and Price took 2nd and 3rd I believe. Please post up guys to confirm this. Good job!

Thanks DD, However I lost my rear axle on the first lap and blew my motor on the last so all in all I had a really productive weekend.
Got the results from my motor, and it looks like everything was done for, crank, cases, cylinder, piston, you name it.

My dad is from Texas, but was a only son, so it kinda narrows it down to a short line.
