Broken belt on a 2007 650 H1

Hey guys just blew my first belt. I have 810 miles on this unit.I pulled the cover off and I am trying to pull all the old belt out. Is there anything I should be checking out for the cause or could it just be an old belt?

I pushed the rear clutch in towards the engine so I could see the rollers and they have flat spots. Some of them have the rubber coating rollled up. What is the best way to remove that clutch? Will an impact pop it loose, consider when you turn it the shaft turns? Should I use stock belt and rollers?

Ok so use a stock belt and aftermarket rollers. Will I notice a big difference with aftermarket rollers?

the stock belts seem to last longer than the aftermarket racing belts....I tried two different supposedly HD belts (heavy Duty) BOTH of them seemed to slip more when under extreme load and BOTH burned up reletively quick.

800plus miles is a LONG WAY to get out of a belt..I change mine every 300 miles now as I was tired of getting stuck...or ruining the ride and having to go home.

change it at 600 miles at home...save yourself some trouble.

light grease on the rollers and for gods sake locktight the big nut.

there was a FREE downloadable rhino manual online for a while from some guy in a Euro country...I printed it out and put it in a binder...good stuff for the right price (run a search..it was listed on here.)

aloha
