Prowler fuel tank sending unit

Is anyone having problems with there fuel gauge not reading correctly. With my tank full it reads empty then it reads full or half it has a mind of it's own. Is this common problem. And ideas would be great.

PM Kanonballtx He Has A Prowler. I Have Not Heard Of Anyone Having This Problem. How About It Bad Influence?

Hey Desertcat,
I have the same problem with my prowler and two buddies of mine have the same problem with there prowlers as well. Mine tends to read about 3/4 full when its completely topped off. But it will read completely empty and be blinking when I have only used a gallon or two out of the full tank. I just have a habit of always topping it off every ride. As far as I know its a common problem though. Hope this helps.

i never had a problem with mine the only time it varied was when we were duning , i would suggest a new sending unit
