New Engine Project

Thought I would move this to the appropriate place. I'm taking the 250 out of our buggy and putting in a Raptor 660.

These first photos are from the original post and the next batch are from today.

Some more progress.

You can see the clutch pedal added on left. We used the exiting shift lever and added another for the reverse lockout. You can also see the brackets for the intermediate jackshaft in the back.

More to follow....

A lot of the hard stuff is done now. After the jackshaft is installed I need to add the new fuel cell (5 gal.) Adding a heat sheild between the engine and seat. Nice cooler rack. Welding some weak points on the roll cage and adding some crossbraces. We're adding an "OH Sh!@" bar for Melissa. Then it's on to wiring.

Thanks For Keeping Us Posted. Looks Really Good. The Wheelie Bar Idea Is A Good One, Borrowing My Captain America Helmet, Not So Good. You Don't Tug On Superman's Cape, You Don't Spit Into The Wind & You Don't Borrow Dune Dummy's Lid.
